AIT Technician – GNC Module Assembly (Weekend Shift) (Aerospace)

Location: Irvine, CA; onsite, Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–7:00 PM

What you will do

• Assemble complex electronic and mechanical GNC spacecraft modules using detailed procedures, hand tools, torque wrenches, and light power tools.
• Test flight hardware and perform basic avionics and electrical troubleshooting.
• Read and follow blueprints, schematic drawings, and detailed assembly instructions.
• Communicate statuses, issues, and suggestions to the support engineering team while updating documentation and hardware statuses.
• Support spacecraft integration, kitting, inventory, lab organization, and other manufacturing activities.
• Maintain safe, clean, orderly work areas and meet attendance and quality requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of hands-on technician experience in electromechanical assembly or spacecraft hardware manufacturing.
• Knowledge of soldering tools and practices; harnessing and soldering to IPC-620 specifications is preferred.
• Familiarity with cleanroom cleanliness standards, ESD precautions, and quality-control procedures, including AS-9100 standards.
• Proficiency with Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and internet browser applications, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent visual acuity and accurate color distinction for detailed inspections and quality-control tasks.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance are required; U.S. export-control authorization eligibility is also required.
