MCU Systems Architect (SoC)

Location: On-site in Singapore; time zone overlap with US-based team members is required.

What you will do

• Define architecture for low-power SoCs, including audio, imaging/display, and high-speed/general-purpose interface subsystems.
• Write architecture specifications, flow diagrams, pseudocode, power/performance models, and external power-management interface specifications.
• Align product requirements, design constraints, power/performance targets, IP selection, and system architecture across hardware, software, applications, marketing, and field teams.
• Support FPGA subsystem and interface bring-up, RTL and gate-level simulation debugging, post-silicon analysis, and mass-production delivery.
• Partner with software architecture on data/control flows, APIs, and hardware abstraction layers, and with physical design on implementation.
• Contribute to IP assessment, technology roadmaps, customer feature alignment, and new low-power product development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of IP/MCU development or similar architecture and design experience for wearable, IoT, or mobile products.
• Deep knowledge of SoC subsystems and external interfaces, including I2S/PDM, MIPI CSI/DSI, USB, SPI, and I2C.
• Experience bringing low-power architectures to market, ideally involving embedded imaging or neural network processing.
• Working knowledge of SoC architecture, fabric/interconnect, power management, advanced process nodes, and complete system dataflow modeling.
• Ability to work independently from concept through validation, own hardware/software trade-offs, and align geographically distributed teams.
• BS in EE, CE, or CS required; MS or PhD preferred. Ability to work with US time-zone overlaps required.
