Mechanical Engineer II, Titan

Location: Full-time onsite role based at hirify.global’s Austin, Texas office

hirify.global develops advanced 3D printing systems and is bringing the Phoenix print system to serial production.

What you will do

• Create mechanical design solutions supported by robust engineering and documentation processes.
• Design and prototype parts and assemblies using in-house and external fabrication.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyze operational, test, and research data.
• Develop mechanical systems through product commercialization and handoff.
• Define technical specifications and support product or process modifications.
• Transition between office and field work, including challenging outdoor environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Experience with component manufacturing processes, including machining and rapid prototyping.
• Experience leading large system development projects.
• Proficiency with parametric solid modeling and CAD software; SolidWorks and PDM experience required.
• Ability to create engineering drawings, apply tolerancing standards, communicate effectively, and work with Agile Scrum methodology.

Nice to have

• Automation industry experience and previous startup experience.
• Thermal and mechanical FEA, topological optimization, and Ansys or SolidWorks Simulation experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
• Industrial safety system experience.
