Financial Accountant (Payroll)

Location: Hybrid, Andover, United Kingdom. Applicants must currently reside in the UK and have full legal authorization to work in the UK.

What you will do

• Manage month-end closing, monthly journals, accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review and approve payrolls for the United States and Costa Rica.
• Calculate and submit US state tax returns and support AMER corporate tax return reviews.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and local accountants in the US, Costa Rica, and Brazil.
• Calculate monthly sales commissions, review customer contracts, and support finance stakeholders and regional projects.
• Help resolve GAAP and tax compliance risks and implement technology improvements for the Finance Centre of Excellence.

Requirements

• Newly qualified or finalist accountant with ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Project, teamwork, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Technology-oriented mindset and interest in continuous finance improvement.
• Current UK residence and full legal authorization to work in the UK are required.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in a private-equity-backed multinational organization.
• Working knowledge of EMEA or AMER GAAP and tax requirements.
