AIT Technician – GNC Module Assembly (Aerospace)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; onsite weekday shift, Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

What you will do

• Assemble and test complex electromechanical Guidance, Navigation & Control spacecraft modules using detailed procedures.
• Operate hand tools, torque wrenches, light power tools, soldering equipment, and related assembly tools.
• Perform basic avionics and electrical troubleshooting and assist with spacecraft integration activities.
• Read and follow blueprints, schematic drawings, and flight-product assembly and testing instructions.
• Communicate hardware status, issues, and improvement suggestions to support engineering, while updating documentation and online hardware records.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work areas and support kitting, inventory, and laboratory organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of hands-on technician experience in electromechanical assembly or spacecraft/spacecraft hardware manufacturing.
• Knowledge of soldering tools and practices, with harnessing and soldering to IPC-620 specifications.
• Familiarity with cleanroom cleanliness standards, ESD precautions, quality control, and AS-9100 standards.
• Proficiency with Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and internet browser applications, plus good written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; U.S. export-control authorization is required.
