Strategy & Operations Manager

Location: Hybrid in New York City, NY, with three days per week at the NYC office and frequent visits to the Glen Cove, NY robotics factory.

Salary: $175,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own operating planning and reporting, including headcount forecasts, plan tracking, and reconciliation to actuals.
• Build product economics models, gross-margin baselines, ROI, payback, and NPV analyses for pricing and capital allocation.
• Support factory expansion strategy and financing, while owning CapEx planning, depreciation, inventory, and working-capital analysis.
• Partner with Procurement on full-BOM analysis covering country of origin, logistics, tariffs, CapEx implications, and payment terms.
• Support incentive design, commercial contract terms, and internal business initiatives.
• Lead high-priority cross-functional projects with Hardware, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in finance, consulting, or a similar analytical generalist role.
• Strong financial modeling skills, including building cost models from scratch and pressure-testing assumptions.
• Experience owning projects end to end, including budgets, timelines, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ability to connect business functions, build trust across seniority levels, and work effectively with ambiguity.
• Ability to work in a hybrid NYC arrangement and frequently visit the Glen Cove, NY robotics factory.

Nice to have

• Experience in hardware, manufacturing, or deep-tech environments.
• Experience at a startup through a major production or growth inflection point.
• Exposure to supply-chain finance or hardware unit economics.
