Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer (Cloud Storage)

Location: Remote from Denmark or Belgium only; applicants must already be located in and have the right to work in one of these countries. No relocation or work-permit support.

What you will do

• Partner with sales and OEM storage specialists to design unstructured data solutions for Nordic and Dutch enterprises.
• Lead technical deep-dives, whiteboarding sessions, and solution designs covering replication, hybrid-cloud bursting, and multi-protocol file access.
• Run on-premises and public-cloud Proof of Concept deployments to address technical objections.
• Prepare technical proposals and RFP responses covering architecture, data protection, and performance at scale.
• Support account mapping, whitespace reviews, business planning, regional forecasting, and technical content development.

Requirements

• Dutch fluency and professional written and spoken English.
• 5+ years of pre-sales systems engineering experience, including 3+ years with unstructured data, file, and object storage.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, Unix/BSD, and NFS, SMB, and S3 protocols.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Consultative value-selling experience guiding enterprise opportunities from initial pitch to technical champion alignment.
• Willingness to travel 30–40% across the Nordics and Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Cloud architect certifications and familiarity with the regional storage, connectivity, and data-center landscape.
• Experience with green or hyperscale data centers, high-density cooling, FLAP-D hubs, or AMS-IX.
• Experience delivering scale-out storage for Media & Entertainment, Life Sciences, Energy, or HPC/AI workloads.
• Knowledge of EU data privacy and sovereign-cloud requirements.
