What you will do
- Develop a deep understanding of German public sector customer priorities and decision-making drivers.
- Connect Storage and ecosystem technologies to measurable customer business outcomes and revenue opportunities.
- Partner with account managers, specialists, and systems integrator partners on customer strategy and technical sales.
- Lead evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, interoperability testing, and performance validation.
- Present storage products and architectures, including NAS, SAN, and Object/S3 solutions, to customers and prospects.
- Capture requirements, design solutions, contribute to German public sector RFP responses, and support product positioning.
Requirements
- Pre-sales experience with German public sector customers and at least 5 years of relevant technology, design, or communications experience.
- Strong knowledge of NFS and SMB protocols, enterprise storage, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive NAS, SAN, and Object/S3 offerings.
- Experience supporting enterprise technology sales across storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software accounts in Germany.
- Experience with Linux, distributed network environments, cloud-native and on-premises architectures, public cloud, provisioning automation, and containers.
- Knowledge of VMware, Ethernet, TCP/IP, local area networking, AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
- Excellent written and verbal German at C2 level is required.
Nice to have
- ONTAP NFS Administration or NetApp NCDA certification.
- Familiarity with modern web architecture, including LAMP, scale-out and scale-up architectures, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Experience with storage-intensive structured database applications such as SQL and Oracle.
