Operations Manager

What you will do

• Own day-to-day operations including facilities, IT, vendor management, and travel.
• Build and maintain financial models, budget planning, and treasury management.
• Establish core business infrastructure such as payroll, benefits, compliance, and equity administration.
• Support end-to-end recruiting and people operations, including onboarding and culture building.
• Lead special projects ranging from security workflows to office expansion and internal events.
• Provide operational support for commercial and government engagements, including contract and procurement workflows.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in high-ownership operational roles such as early-stage startups, investment banking, or management consulting.
• Strong financial and analytical fluency with experience building models in Excel.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for drafting memos and investor materials.
• Proven ability to own projects end-to-end in ambiguous environments with minimal supervision.
• High attention to detail and a bias for action.
• Must be able to work on-site in New York and travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience at a high-growth startup, ideally as an early non-engineering hire.
• Background in setting up finance and people ops systems from scratch.
• Experience with early-stage fundraising.
• Knowledge of defense tech, national security, or government contracting.
