Procurement Manager Aerostructures - Fast Track & Special Programmes (Aerospace)

Location: Manching, Germany. The role is primarily onsite, with mobile working, flexible hours, part-time options, job sharing, and reduced weekly hours available depending on scope.

What you will do

• Lead supplier scouting, evaluation, capability assessments, RFIs, RFPs, downselections, and early sourcing activities for new aerospace work packages.
• Negotiate development agreements, Statements of Work, and Non-Recurring Engineering activities while managing commercial risks.
• Represent Procurement in engineering and industrial architecture discussions, driving make-or-buy and core-versus-non-core decisions.
• Lead target costing and Design-to-Cost activities to control non-recurring and future recurring costs.
• Act as the single Procurement lead within the programme multi-functional team and manage milestone-based alignment with Commodity Heads.
• Monitor supplier development, tooling fabrication, industrial readiness, and the transfer of mature packages into standard commodity management.

Requirements

• Strong experience in aerospace procurement, project management, or New Product Introduction in fast-paced, autonomous environments.
• Ability to make independent commercial and technical decisions while balancing speed, risk, schedule, and compliance.
• Broad knowledge across aerospace commodities, including structures, systems, avionics, cabin, or standard hardware.
• Hands-on, pragmatic approach to changing engineering requirements and programme trade-offs.
• Strong stakeholder management, integrity, transparency, and diplomatic communication skills.
