Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $95,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and optimize manufacturing processes for satellite components and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing strategies and plans.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that improve production efficiency and quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to production teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace or high-tech environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, hand soldering, and harness fabrication.
• Foundational knowledge of kinetics and dynamics, fluid mechanics, power systems, and thermodynamics.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations, including AS9100, IPC, NASA, and/or ECSS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• Green or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with project management tools and techniques.
• Previous experience as a technician building spacecraft.
