Electrical Engineer II

Location: Holtsville, New York, United States; minimum 3 days per week in the Holtsville office and 2 days remote within the US

Salary: $76,640–$114,960 annual, plus a target performance-based annual cash incentive equal to 10% of base pay

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test new data capture products as part of a team led by senior engineers.
• Develop circuits, enter schematics, select electrical components, and modify existing electrical designs.
• Create and test component- and circuit-level prototypes against design requirements.
• Use oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, frequency generators, and logic analyzers for electrical testing.
• Review test results, perform root cause analyses, and recommend improvements to product performance and team productivity.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, mechanical, optical, manufacturing engineers, technicians, vendors, partners, and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field with at least 2 years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least 1 year of experience.
• Electronic hardware design experience.
• Experience using common electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
• Ability to document test requirements and results according to ISO 9000 standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with careful attention to detail.
• Ability to work in the Holtsville office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Cadence experience.
• Embedded systems knowledge or experience and ability to understand embedded software.
• Schematic simulation experience and familiarity with PCB layout fundamentals.
• Experience communicating technical details clearly and working across organizational boundaries.
