Senior Robotics Test Engineer, Electrical

Location: Wilmington, Massachusetts, USA; fully onsite five days per week. Less than 10% travel may be required for supplier visits and customer or other site support.

Salary: $125,000–$171,600 base annual compensation, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Design, improve, and maintain test fixtures for electronic subsystems on mobile robot platforms.
• Create and execute test plans covering electrical performance, reliability, safety, and durability requirements.
• Lead and support HALT, HASS, accelerated aging, and other stress-testing activities to identify failure modes.
• Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, DC power supplies, and electronic loads for characterization and validation.
• Develop Python scripts for robot operation, data capture, measurement logging, and test automation.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, and Supplier teams on failure investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in electronics testing, validation engineering, reliability engineering, or a similar hardware-focused role.
• Hands-on experience with HALT, HASS, accelerated aging, and other electronic-system reliability testing methods.
• Strong proficiency with electrical laboratory equipment and experience reading electrical schematics and PCB designs.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and laboratory data logging.
• Familiarity with CAN bus protocols, functional safety systems, FMEA, and structured root cause analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience with Altium.
