What you will do

  • Lead the establishment, build-out, and operational growth of the US quantum hardware laboratory.
  • Define US-based experimental milestones and guide the work from initial characterization through full-stack quantum computer validation.
  • Provide technical direction for QPU prototype and component validation, experimental research, data analysis, and protocol development.
  • Oversee protocols for high-fidelity quantum logic operations on industrial-grade silicon chips.
  • Represent hirify.global with government funding bodies, agencies, professional forums, and the Maryland/DC quantum ecosystem.
  • Identify technical gaps, lead hiring, develop the multidisciplinary US research team, and contribute to patenting and grant applications.

Requirements

  • PhD in physics, chemistry, or engineering.
  • Proven leadership experience in dynamical characterization and control of spin qubits in solid-state systems.
  • Experience defining research goals and leading teams toward technical outcomes.
  • Knowledge of high-frequency electronics, quantum information systems, and quantum operations.
  • Ability to independently design and conduct complex experiments, analyze data, and prepare technical reports and presentations.
  • Knowledge of data acquisition software including Python and Matlab, with strong technical communication and grant-writing skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with deep cryogenic measurement systems.
  • Experience characterizing silicon-based nanoelectronic devices.
  • Knowledge of nanofabrication and experience supervising research students.
