Senior Field Engineer - US Federal (Quantum Computing)

Location: Fully remote in the US or Canada, or onsite/hybrid from offices in College Park, Maryland, or Bothell, Washington. Travel in the US is expected at approximately 20%. The role requires US citizenship and Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.

Base salary: $192,979–$252,659 per year, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Explain hirify.global’s quantum computing portfolio, strategy, and applications to US intelligence agencies.
• Lead customer discovery sessions and discussions from initial ideation through focused exploration and proof-of-concept development.
• Map quantum algorithms to use cases in financial services, bioscience, chemistry and materials, optimization, generative AI, and other domains.
• Co-engineer application code and proof-of-concepts with the hirify.global Applications team.
• Translate customer needs into technical projects and share feedback with Product Management and Engineering.
• Create technical assets, support conferences, and collaborate with marketing, developer relations, and business development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role or equivalent capacity.
• US citizenship and an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance are required; a full-scope polygraph is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience with technology companies supporting US intelligence agencies.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or another STEM field.
• Strong communication, persuasion, customer-facing, and emotional intelligence skills.
• Strong interest in quantum computing and motivation to support US Federal Government intelligence missions.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in a STEM field related to quantum computing.
• Customer-side experience in multiple verticals, including leadership roles.
• Hands-on experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or another quantum computing SDK.
• Proficiency in Python and Jupyter Notebooks.
• Full-stack architecture skills and experience leading technical events.
