Associate Specialist, Patient Access (Night Shift)

Location: Onsite at Ardent - Mountainside in Montclair, New Jersey, United States; night shift.

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform admitting and pre-registration duties for hospital patients.
• Assign accurate medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, and process physician orders.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, select insurance plan codes, and support point-of-service collections and clean claims.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute required Medicare, consent, observation, and patient education forms.
• Explain forms, obtain signatures, answer calls, and provide compassionate customer service.
• Audit patient accounts, correct documentation, and provide statistical reporting to Patient Access leadership.

Requirements

• Ability to work onsite in Montclair, New Jersey, on the night shift.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Inquisitive mindset and openness to innovation, including AI-based process improvements.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire; certification costs are covered by the company.
