TL;DR
Production Coordinator (Aircraft Structures) (Electric Aviation): Coordinating and performing hands-on aircraft structures assembly while improving manufacturing layouts, quality, traceability, and throughput with an accent on ERP data, tooling accountability, and process documentation. Focus on leading technicians, resolving workmanship issues through RCCA, integrating design changes into build processes, and maintaining aircraft production readiness.

Location: South Burlington, Vermont, United States; onsite role

Compensation: $32–$37 USD per hour

What you will do

  • Coordinate Structures production activities and support peak team efficiency through ERP usage, part traceability, labor-hour accuracy, and tooling accountability.
  • Perform hands-on aircraft assembly while improving manufacturing layouts, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.
  • Support technicians, monitor aircraft build progress, and perform in-process quality inspections.
  • Work with Quality, Design, MRB, QA, and leadership to resolve process deviations and quality issues through RCCA.
  • Maintain auditable work instructions, NCRs, process data, and other manufacturing documentation.
  • Lead 5S, tool control, FOD activities, equipment maintenance, tooling repair, and productivity or incident reporting.

Requirements

  • Mechanical, aircraft maintenance, or manufacturing background.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools and interpret aircraft-component drawings, specifications, and schematics.
  • Strong multitasking, organization, communication, problem-analysis, and independent decision-making skills.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, and application lifecycle processes.
  • Ability to comply with safety requirements and applicable company and government regulations.

Nice to have

  • Previous leadership experience.
  • ERP systems knowledge.
  • Aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Structures manufacturing experience with bonded or fastened aircraft.
