Manufacturing Engineer II - Avionics & Test (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. This U.S. office role is subject to ITAR eligibility requirements.

Base pay: $90,000–$120,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Test and debug electro-mechanical and avionics systems.
• Optimize manufacturing processes and support product design for manufacturability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive corrective process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on manufacturing and production challenges.
• Support environmental and production acceptance testing involving vibration, shock, thermal, and vacuum conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a similar field.
• At least 2 years of technical experience in manufacturing, production, or process engineering.
• Hands-on experience solving problems in complex manufacturing systems.
• Hands-on technical experience debugging electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to independently deliver complex assignments.
• For U.S. offices, candidates must be eligible to work with ITAR-regulated technology as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or through applicable government authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with instrumentation, interfaces, sensors, power supplies, oscilloscopes, serial devices, accelerometers, thermocouples, RTDs, and 4–20 mA sensors.
• Experience designing, implementing, or supporting a production line or build area.
• Experience transitioning products from design to production in a cross-functional, iterative environment.
• Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Pareto analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
