Lead DevOps Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, or Fremont, California; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel.

Annual base salary: $160,000–$192,500; California base salary: $176,000–$211,750. The role also includes an annual performance bonus program.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code.
• Build containerized platforms with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Design CI/CD tools, automation, and secure deployment practices.
• Implement highly available, reliable, scalable, and performant infrastructure, including monitoring and logging.
• Lead infrastructure, site reliability, and engineering productivity systems while collaborating with security, product, development, and QA teams.
• Own the internal developer portal and improve the developer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, systems architecture, or software engineering focused on platform systems.
• Strong experience with Python, Shell, Ruby, Docker, Kubernetes, and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Expertise with CI/CD tools, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and infrastructure as code tools including Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane, or CDK.
• Experience developing platform integrations, automations, and developer experience solutions with Rust, Go, Python, or Java.
• Ability to lead, teach, coach, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate effectively across teams.
