Software Integration Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Remote, based in the United States; willingness to travel to test sites near San Antonio, Texas and around the country is required.

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 per year, hirify.global cash and equity.

What you will do

• Lead planning and execution of closed-course autonomous vehicle system testing.
• Create validation and verification plans and test matrices based on product requirements.
• Execute end-to-end software test cases against release milestones in vehicle and field environments.
• Debug system behavior across Linux, ROS, sensors, actuators, and log data.
• Work with engineering teams to define testing approaches and report failures.
• Support the planning stack or embedded safety MCU while developing documentation and backend tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience creating and executing test plans for software and hardware systems.
• 2+ years of experience with robotics, automotive systems, or autonomous vehicles.
• Experience debugging Linux, ROS, C++, Python, and failures caused by hardware sensors.
• Programming skills in Python, C++, and Bash.
• Must be willing to travel to test sites near San Antonio and across the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience testing autonomous driving or ADAS applications.
• Validation and verification experience at an autonomous vehicle company.
• Experience testing large vehicles in defense, mining, construction, or agriculture.
• Experience with autonomous driving compute systems, sensors, and communication protocols.
