Robotics Validation Engineer

What you will do

• Design and maintain automated test pipelines for simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Collect and process log data to evaluate system behavior and reliability.
• Develop and maintain End-of-Line tests with the manufacturing team.
• Run experiments on simulated and physical robots, including failure reproduction, performance benchmarking, and validation scenario authoring.
• Execute system-level validation test plans and assist with debugging navigation, controls, and perception issues.
• Improve test observability through metrics, dashboards, and structured reporting.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python or C++, particularly for scripting and data analysis.
• 1–2 years of experience in test automation, robotics, or both.
• Familiarity with Linux-based development and testing environments.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and technical writing ability.
• Comfort with robotics experimentation and troubleshooting in resource-constrained, real-time systems.
• Ability to work on-site in San Carlos, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with ROS1 or ROS2, rviz, and related developer tools.
• Exposure to Docker, robotics simulators such as Gazebo or Isaac Sim, and cloud or CI tooling.
• Experience with data aggregation and slicing or tools such as InfluxDB, Pandas, or Jupyter.
