Strategic Sourcing Manager (Robotics)

Location: Hybrid, with regular presence at the Glen Cove, NY manufacturing facility and New York City office

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Build and manage category strategies for mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic components.
• Run end-to-end RFQ and RFP processes, including scoping, evaluation, negotiation, and supplier awards.
• Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers, with a preference for domestic and USMCA-friendly sources.
• Conduct supplier business reviews covering delivery, quality, cost trajectory, and capacity.
• Negotiate supply contracts, NDAs, equipment loans, and software licenses while tracking renewals and obligations.
• Partner with engineering, finance, and operations on NPI supplier readiness, COGS projections, tooling capex, savings tracking, and supplier onboarding.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain.
• Hands-on experience negotiating supplier contracts, including price, payment terms, and contract language.
• Experience sourcing mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic hardware components.
• Experience onboarding suppliers from scratch and managing qualification timelines.
• Ability to build TCO models, analyze cost breakdowns, and perform spend analysis in Excel or an equivalent tool.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving, high-growth environment and build processes where they do not yet exist.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing hardware or robotics products in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with USMCA, ITAR, or other industrial hardware trade compliance frameworks.
• Exposure to NPI, contract manufacturing, or tooling capex management.
