Head of Build Reliability (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite

Salary: $185,000–$225,000 per year

What you will do

• Establish quality methodology for tracking issues throughout the manufacturing process.
• Build, develop, and maintain systems that resolve quality problems and improve reliability and production speed.
• Lead cross-functional quality improvement projects with propulsion, vehicle, avionics, production, and supply chain teams.
• Track hardware non-conformances and ensure timely resolution.
• Develop manufacturing quality standards, inspection procedures, and the hirify.global Quality Plan.
• Source quality inspection equipment, train operators, and prepare documentation toward AS9100 certification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, build reliability, and/or design engineering.
• Experience building or optimizing a quality management system.
• Hands-on experience establishing quality systems and solving quality problems.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of quality engineering leadership experience with launch vehicles, spacecraft, or satellites.
• Experience working with or implementing AS9100 standards.
• Technical writing skills.
• Strong communication with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams.
