TL;DR
Manager, Vehicle Project Coordination (Automotive): Leading Pilot Hall E/E coordination for vehicle commissioning, software changes, technical change management, and electronic project reporting with an accent on ECU diagnostics, production validation, and cross-functional problem solving. Focus on building and developing the coordination team, reducing production downtime and rework, and managing software update implementation for electric vehicles and Software Defined Vehicles.

Location: Columbia, South Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel.

Base salary: $140,000–$170,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Lead the Pilot Hall E/E team responsible for software changes, technical change management, and project reporting.
  • Coordinate vehicle commissioning, ECU diagnostics, verification, issue analysis, and production problem solving.
  • Manage vehicle software changes, release notes, update campaigns, implementation timing, feasibility, and change costs.
  • Build cross-functional collaboration across Production, Technical Development, Quality, Logistics, Launch Management, and After Sales.
  • Hire, train, retain, and develop team members while tracking quality, volume, cost, and capability KPIs.
  • Prepare electronic project status reports, management summaries, escalations, and regular updates.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in car production, vehicle development, and diagnostics, including stable validation processes.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, electronics, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Leadership experience and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of vehicle engineering and manufacturing processes, vehicle concepts, and vehicle functions.
  • Strategic problem-solving, creative thinking, resourcefulness, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work onsite in Columbia, South Carolina 4–5 days per week.
