Chemical Operator II (Nights)

Location: Austin, TX, with the position based at the Burnet facility; onsite rotating night shift from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on a 3-2-2-3 schedule.

What you will do

• Initiate, monitor, and troubleshoot batch-distillation processes involving multiple hazardous chemicals.
• Collect, label, document, and submit chemical samples for laboratory analysis.
• Perform preventative maintenance on distillation equipment and maintain service records.
• Use SAP to manage production schedules, work orders, inventory transactions, and finished-product labels.
• Follow safety and quality procedures, participate in safety training and drills, and identify process improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience; distillation experience is preferred.
• Experience handling chemicals safely and following PPE and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of PLC operation, valves, pressure regulators, piping systems, and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of inventory management and ISO 9001 standards; SAP experience is a plus.
• Ability to solve technical problems, respond flexibly to changing situations, frequently lift 50 pounds, and push up to 130 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or a related field.
• Previous distillation experience.
• SAP experience.
