Global Supply Manager – Mechanicals

Salary: $112,500–$147,500 USD per year; full-time compensation commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end RFx processes, including requirements scoping, RFQs, response evaluation, and supplier selection.
• Build and maintain should-cost models for plastics, stampings, fasteners, connectors, and harnessing.
• Negotiate piece prices, tooling costs, payment terms, and master agreements.
• Own commercial relationships with key suppliers, track performance, manage escalations, and strengthen supplier collaboration.
• Drive supplier readiness across new product introduction, production ramp, and sustained manufacturing, including cost, capacity, and lead-time planning.
• Present sourcing recommendations to engineering and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of sourcing experience in a similar role.
• Experience sourcing mechanical components, including injection molding, stamping, harness assembly, and off-the-shelf fasteners.
• Understanding of manufacturing cost drivers for custom components and tooling.
• Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.
• Strong project management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, averaging 25% travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with custom part development.
• First-principles thinking applied to supplier negotiations.
• Experience managing supplier escalations through the executive level.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
