Materials Delivery Manager

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; travel up to 10% of the time; relocation is not available.

Salary: $101,000–$139,000 per year, with potential bonus and stock award compensation.

What you will do

• Track supplier and sub-tier supplier schedules to ensure on-time delivery of materials and parts.
• Develop and execute delivery improvement plans when supplier commitments do not meet required dates.
• Coordinate material transfers between indirect expense and production warehouse locations and perform accurate SAP transactions.
• Resolve shortages, delays, and material issues, including inventory sell-backs and recovery actions.
• Provide material status, risk assessments, and recovery plans for build readiness reviews and upcoming milestones.
• Manage communication with suppliers, program teams, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to surface risks and minimize escalations.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is also welcome.
• At least 3 years of experience in material delivery management in a fast-paced, high-complexity, low-volume environment.
• Strong communication, coordination, follow-up, urgency, and accountability skills.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, planning, procurement, and logistics teams.
• Knowledge of project schedules, milestones, risk assessment, and recovery planning.
• Proficiency with Excel reporting, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs; experience with Smartsheet or similar tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in procurement, expediting, materials coordination, or multi-tier supply chain delivery management.
• Familiarity with new product introduction, engineering builds, or prototype-to-production transitions.
• Experience using SAP or other material tracking and transaction systems.
• PMP or similar project management certification.
• Experience creating PowerPoint presentations for executive reviews.
