Global Commodity Manager (Semiconductors)

Location: Palo Alto, United States; on-site

Salary: $135,000–$165,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

• Build and execute global sourcing strategies for electronics components and semiconductors across current and next-generation vehicle roadmaps.
• Maintain semiconductor technology roadmaps and align product architecture with supplier and industry developments.
• Own the Approved Vendor List and manage the full supplier lifecycle, from qualification through performance evaluation.
• Negotiate long-term agreements, master purchase agreements, and quality terms with global manufacturers.
• Lead BOM reviews to identify end-of-life risks, single-source exposure, and technical bottlenecks before design freeze.
• Develop should-cost models, reduce total cost of ownership, and establish supplier performance metrics and business reviews.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in global sourcing or commodity management involving semiconductors or complex electronics components.
• Direct sourcing experience in computing, perception, power and motion, connectivity, or interaction electronics.
• Real new product introduction experience and deep technical knowledge of the semiconductor ecosystem.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Management.
• Experience securing long-term agreements with global manufacturers and operating autonomously as a subject-matter expert.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25% of the time.
