Senior Software Engineer (Tech Lead), Customer Domain Engineering (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; 2–3 days per week in the San Francisco office required

Salary: $209,000–$240,000 annual salary range for San Francisco residents, plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable web applications with customer-domain business logic.
• Build and maintain APIs, event-driven systems, and reliable services for the private-market platform.
• Lead a workstream, define technical requirements, plan actionable tasks, and partner with Product, Design, Architects, and Tech Leads.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide the team on frameworks, engineering practices, and technologies.
• Create technical documentation and contribute to system design decisions.
• Build automated unit and integration tests, apply Agile and Lean practices, and support high availability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience and experience as a technical lead for a product engineering team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise building APIs with C# and .NET.
• Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with CQRS, Event Sourcing, or similar architectural patterns.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, system design experience, teamwork, and delivery record.

Nice to have

• Fintech or financial services experience, including regulatory considerations.
• Experience with KYC workflows, additional server-side programming languages, TDD, DDD, or Marten.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and systems serving millions of users.
