Senior Engineer, Software Development (Fintech)

Location: Structured hybrid role with at least three days per week in the office. Candidates must currently reside in New York, NY; Birmingham, AL; Miami, FL; Tampa, FL; Blue Ash or Cincinnati, OH; or Los Angeles, CA. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Salary: $121,400–$173,300 per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop APIs and microservices for BaaS onboarding and partner integrations.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver secure, robust solutions.
• Improve engineering excellence through code reviews, mentoring, CI/CD, testing, and observability practices.
• Build monitoring and alerting systems, meet SLA standards, and participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
• Prepare architectural and design documentation and evaluate emerging technologies for adoption.
• Refactor and extend the codebase while building configurable, durable systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least one year in a technical leadership role.
• Strong experience developing secure, standards-compliant software across multiple platforms.
• Proficiency with C#, .NET, SQL, Azure services such as APIM, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Key Vault, plus containers and caching frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful API design, OAuth2, OpenAPI, event-driven systems, and microservice architecture.
• Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as Datadog and Grafana.
• Strong knowledge of Git, DevOps, Agile Scrum, security best practices, PCI DSS, and SOC 2.

• Experience in fintech or embedded finance platforms.
• Familiarity with partner onboarding workflows and SLA management.
• Open-source contributions or technical publications.
