Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Structured hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office. Candidates must currently reside in New York, Birmingham, Miami, Tampa, Blue Ash, Cincinnati, or Los Angeles, United States.

Salary: $121,400–$173,300 per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop APIs and microservices for BaaS onboarding and partner integrations.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Improve engineering quality through code reviews, mentoring, CI/CD, testing, observability, and best practices.
• Build monitoring and alerting systems, meet SLA standards, and participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
• Prepare architectural and design documentation, evaluate emerging technologies, and extend the existing codebase.
• Develop durable, flexible systems by favoring configurability over customization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year in a technical leadership role.
• Strong experience developing secure, standards-compliant code across multiple platforms.
• Proficiency with C#, .NET, SQL, Azure services including APIM, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Key Vault, plus container technologies and caching frameworks.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth2, OpenAPI, event-driven systems, and microservice architecture.
• Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as Datadog and Grafana, along with Git, DevOps, and Agile Scrum.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship and must meet the approved location requirement. Experience with financial services security and compliance standards, including PCI DSS and SOC 2, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or embedded finance platforms.
• Familiarity with partner onboarding workflows and SLA management.
