Field Deployment Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Hybrid in Stuttgart, Germany, with approximately 75% travel across Europe for customer deployments

What you will do

• Lead the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of robotic systems at customer facilities.
• Coordinate deployment workflows with engineering teams, contractors, project managers, and customer stakeholders.
• Install and integrate robotic arms, grippers, sensors, cameras, mobile platforms, cabling, control cabinets, and other hardware.
• Perform mechanical and electrical work, including mounting, drilling, tapping, wiring, and modifying fixtures and brackets.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues, and optimize system performance for production.
• Provide customer training and document installation procedures, configurations, and deployment improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience deploying robotic systems, automation equipment, or industrial machinery.
• Experience leading or coordinating technical installations or field deployments.
• Hands-on experience with robotic workcells, automation systems, or industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of ROS 2, robotic system architecture, or industrial automation systems.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software systems, use hand and power tools, and read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
• Familiarity with 6-axis robots, AMRs, or other robotic platforms.
