Vice President, Deputy CLO - Commercial, Strategic Transactions and Government Contracts (Quantum Computing)

Salary: $350,000–$450,000 annually, inclusive of bonus target

What you will do

• Establish, lead, and scale the global commercial contracting and government contracts function.
• Build and manage a high-performing global commercial legal team with consistent processes and regional coverage.
• Advise Sales, R&D, Product, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Security, Compliance, Government Affairs, Operations, and executive leadership.
• Draft, review, and negotiate enterprise, government, research, hardware, software, SaaS, cloud, professional services, procurement, vendor, and strategic partnership agreements.
• Lead legal support for federal, state, local, sovereign, and other public-sector contracting matters, including procurement structures, flow-down requirements, funding conditions, and public-sector rights.
• Build templates, clause libraries, playbooks, approval matrices, intake processes, negotiation frameworks, training, reporting, and contract lifecycle practices.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor, LLB, or equivalent law degree, with admission to practice and good standing in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
• At least 15 years of legal experience covering commercial transactions, technology transactions, government contracts, procurement, strategic partnerships, or related work.
• Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.
• Must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen.
• Significant experience with enterprise contracting, government contracting, hardware and software transactions, SaaS or cloud services, procurement, and strategic partnerships.
• Experience leading globally distributed legal or contracts teams and advising senior stakeholders in a multinational technology environment.

Nice to have

• Public company or newly public company experience, including disclosure-sensitive matters, governance, approval controls, and scalable legal processes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance for applicable government or national security programs.
• Experience with quantum computing, cybersecurity solutions, research collaborations, system deployment, or advanced technology commercialization.
