Sr. IT Specialist - Patching Coordinator (Microsoft Windows)

Location: Hybrid work with required reporting to Somerset, New Jersey, USA

What you will do

• Coordinate the end-to-end Microsoft Windows OS patch lifecycle across enterprise endpoints and servers.
• Maintain Patch Tuesday and zero-day patch calendars, including risk prioritization, testing, deployment, and SLA tracking.
• Partner with application owners to define maintenance windows, obtain business validation, and manage patching exceptions.
• Coordinate pilot, pre-production, and production deployments, including rollback and contingency planning.
• Manage patch-related change requests in ServiceNow and lead root cause analysis for patch failures.
• Track patch compliance, develop KPI dashboards and executive reports, and support audit and vulnerability remediation activities.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS patching processes, methodologies, and related tools.
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and/or IT operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced coordination, project scheduling, risk management, and execution skills in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Understanding of ITIL-based service management and change management processes.

• Experience in large enterprise environments.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
