Sr. Implementation Engineer (Healthcare IT)

Location: Washington, DC, with travel throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland. Travel is approximately 50% and may reach 100% on short notice. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead implementation of Care Communications products and integrations with partner applications and systems.
• Lead network architecture, system failover, and technical system design discussions with customer and contractor teams.
• Assess customer network security needs and develop policies for servers, device infrastructure, and network topology.
• Lead technical work on projects involving advanced features, customized integrations, evolving configurations, and clinical workflow requirements.
• Perform site and RF surveys, create system integration plans, and review designs for accuracy and performance.
• Provide oversight, training, and direction to internal and external contractors during implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or at least 3 years of related server or network engineering experience.
• Advanced experience deploying and supporting Microsoft Windows, SQL, IIS, and associated networked systems.
• Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, IP routing, the OSI model, VLANs, network security, and troubleshooting with Wireshark, PuTTY, and command-line tools.
• Understanding of network security and Active Directory; experience with Linux server administration is beneficial.
• Project management experience, PC-based system configuration and debugging skills, and the ability to lead small teams with diverse technical skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%, with possible travel up to 100% on short notice.

• Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCDP, CCNP, CWLS, or CWNA.
• Wireless certifications such as CWNE, CWNP, CWSP, AWLAT, MNAWS, MNAWP, or MNCE.
• MCSE, MCSA, Network+, or Security+ certifications.
