Senior Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in London, UK or Austin, TX

Salary: Starting from £169K in London or $262K in Austin; additional compensation includes equity and a location-based Living-Local Bonus.

What you will do

• Design, provision, and operate AWS, Kubernetes, and bare-metal infrastructure for development, simulation, and testing.
• Own Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code, Ansible automation, and provisioning pipelines for reproducible environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD systems, internal tooling, and self-service workflows for hardware, software, and compiler engineers.
• Optimize VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, low-latency and high-bandwidth networks, and storage for chip design, compiler, and simulation workloads.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and reliability improvements across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Implement cloud IAM, secrets management, data protection, network segmentation, and isolated environments for chip design, EDA, compiler, agentic, and simulation workloads in partnership with IT and Security.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in infrastructure, platform, DevOps, or SRE engineering, with experience owning systems end to end.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code and automation skills with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash.
• Solid networking fundamentals.
• Hands-on AWS experience and experience operating hybrid cloud, on-premises, and bare-metal environments.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, including IAM, secrets management, network security, and hardening across cloud and self-hosted systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving complex cross-layer issues in a fast-moving environment.
• Collaborative communication skills, including the ability to work with hardware and compiler engineers and explain infrastructure trade-offs clearly.
