Senior Data Scientist (Fraud/Risk)

Location: Must be based in or commutable to San Francisco or New York

Salary: $175,000 – $210,000

What you will do

• Design and ship production systems to detect and prevent fraud across KYB and compliance workflows.
• Tackle complex data challenges including class imbalance, sparse signals, and evolving adversarial behavior.
• Apply graph-based approaches and entity resolution techniques to uncover hidden connections.
• Utilize heuristics, weak supervision, and modern AI tools to generate high-quality features and labels.
• Partner with engineering to evolve infrastructure for feature generation, model training, and deployment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in fraud, risk, or trust & safety domains.
• Proven track record of building and shipping production-grade data-driven systems.
• Strong foundation in applied machine learning with experience handling real-world constraints.
• Familiarity with knowledge graphs, network analysis, or entity linking.
• Pragmatic mindset focused on balancing speed, accuracy, and system maintainability.
• Must be able to work from the SF or NYC office 2 days per week.
