Sr. Specialist, Robot Programming (Robotics)

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional business travel

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus

What you will do

• Lead paint and sealer application standards, best practices, quality, and daily operational performance.
• Program and optimize robotic paint and sealer applications to improve coverage, efficiency, and process results.
• Train and develop team members in problem-solving, robot programming, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor application performance and KPIs, provide feedback, and prepare regular management reports.
• Identify process inefficiencies, improvement opportunities, and cost savings using lean manufacturing principles.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Manufacturing Engineering on quality, safety, and process alignment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience programming robotic paint applications and/or sealer systems.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Knowledge of at least one robot system: Fanuc, ABB, or Duerr.
• Knowledge of sealer processes, paint quality requirements, and Quality Management Systems such as ISO or VDA.
• Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma or comparable process improvement methodologies, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, project management, decision-making, attention to detail, and robotized painting safety skills.

Nice to have

• FANUC Dispense Tool and Paint Tool or Pro experience.
• Relevant certifications in engineering, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
• Experience with process and program simulation software.
