Manufacturing Engineer (Defense Robotics)

Location: Sunnyvale, CA. Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities. May be expected to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance. Relocation assistance may be available depending on role eligibility.

Salary: $165,000–$215,000 USD base salary per year, plus potential bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Stand up and own manufacturing processes from prototype through low-rate initial production across the vehicle fleet.
• Apply New Product Introduction expertise to improve manufacturability and supply chain scalability.
• Manage BOMs, inventory, suppliers, component manufacturability, and quality issue resolution.
• Develop build plans, assembly frameworks, tooling, and work instructions for technicians.
• Inform MES system design and schedule, forecast, and manage technicians on the production line.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, ideally with hands-on design experience.
• 3–8 years of relevant manufacturing or technical experience.
• Experience owning a low-rate initial production line end to end.
• Experience with CAD, light design, BOM management, work instructions, and inventory control.
• Ability to translate mechanical designs into buildable and efficient assembly processes.
• Must be a U.S. Person; eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance may be required.
