Director - Silicon Validation (Semiconductor)

Location: On-site 5 days a week in NW Austin, Texas, United States

What you will do

• Lead silicon validation across multiple SoC and edge AI product families.
• Define validation strategies, methodologies, automation frameworks, and engineering best practices.
• Drive post-silicon bring-up, validation, characterization, silicon debug, and production test correlation.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global validation organization.
• Partner with architecture, design, verification, firmware, systems, product engineering, and applications teams.
• Manage staffing, priorities, schedules, technical risk, customer escalations, and complex silicon issue resolution.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of semiconductor engineering experience, including post-silicon validation, characterization, or silicon bring-up.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and organizational development.
• Experience validating complex mixed-signal SoCs and taking products from first silicon to production.
• Experience with validation automation using Python, TCL, C, C++, or similar languages, as well as lab instrumentation and silicon debug.
• Experience with ultra-low-power SoCs, edge AI devices, ARM architectures, power management, wireless SoCs, statistical characterization, production data analytics, and customer escalations.
