Transportation Supervisor

What you will do

• Supervise drivers, dispatching, schedules, overtime, safe returns, and on-time service performance.
• Review productivity and delivery KPIs, optimize routes, improve truck utilization, and respond to customer complaints.
• Implement transportation, food safety, DOT, EHS, audit, training, and record-keeping procedures.
• Maintain driver credentials and compliance records, including HazMat, tanker endorsements, DOT physicals, drug testing, and electronic logs.
• Coordinate fleet repairs, licensing, registration, inspections, preventive maintenance, vendors, and maintenance budgets.
• Resolve carrier performance issues, support customer visits, provide performance feedback, and implement efficiency and cost-reduction improvements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
• 3–5 years of supervisory leadership experience and experience managing and dispatching drivers.
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and Hours of Service regulations.
• Organizational, time-management, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of transportation management software, SAP, and Microsoft Office.
• HazMat certification or TWIC credentials may be required.

• Experience in chemical distribution facility operations.
