Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Newburyport, Massachusetts, United States

Annual base salary: $105,400–$145,000, plus equity.

What you will do

• Represent Quality in proposals, program processes, documentation, and integrated product development activities.
• Drive supplier quality performance, including supplier qualification, new product development, and product quality improvement.
• Develop quality metrics, certification plans, and process documentation aligned with contractual, company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct supplier capability assessments, process validations, manufacturing readiness reviews, and lead onsite and remote audits.
• Investigate supplier-caused nonconformities, analyze trends, recommend corrective actions, and verify corrective-action effectiveness.
• Maintain supplier and customer quality records, support material review dispositions, and travel to suppliers for qualification and inspection as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of equivalent experience in a medical device or aerospace environment.
• 3+ years of experience in a quality role and 1+ year of experience gathering data and performing root cause corrective action.
• Experience in an aerospace, medical device, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems within a Supplier Quality organization.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, with knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Auditing accreditation to ASD9100 or ISO13485 is preferred.
