Senior Robotics Software Engineer

What you will do

• Improve 2D and 3D sensing capabilities and build visual representations of the world.
• Develop geometric perception for seen and unseen objects using supervised and self-supervised learning.
• Control robot arms and plan motion around obstacles, including multi-robot planning.
• Optimize grasps and other manipulation primitives using motion-planning and reinforcement-learning techniques.
• Develop and support robot software in Python and Linux, including real-time systems and robot-data visualization.
• Design and control end effectors, integrate and program robot arms, and create mechanical mounts and stands.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience developing robotics software.
• Advanced Python programming skills, including dunder methods, lambdas, exception handling, and decorators.
• Experience with Python-Linux environments, linters such as Flake8 and Mypy, and real-time systems.
• Knowledge of robot perception, motion planning, robot-arm control, and manipulation.
• Experience integrating and programming robot arms and working with robotic hardware.
• Ability to work on-site in Watertown, Massachusetts.
