Senior Robotics Application Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote, New York, NY, or San Francisco, CA; customer-site deployments across the U.S. with up to 20% travel.

What you will do

• Evaluate autonomous performance using customer-site data and validate release readiness.
• Debug issues across the robotics stack, including hydraulic sensors, compute hardware, onboard software, and offboard code.
• Collaborate with Partnerships to identify customer sites aligned with the product roadmap.
• Provide field feedback to engineering teams to influence future autonomous systems.
• Lead customer discussions about site progression, system integration, and job-site performance.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience keeping critical onboard and offboard systems operating smoothly.
• Proficiency in Python, Rust, or C++, Linux, version control, and deploying code in live environments.
• Strong knowledge of robotics systems, including sensor fusion, LiDAR, GNSS, IMU, computer vision, motion planning, controls, and embedded systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, CAN bus communication, and industry debugging tools.
• Experience with data visualization and analytical tools for converting raw logs into performance metrics.
