What you will do

• Lead the architecture and development of robotics software across perception, motion planning, controls, and execution.
• Design scalable, reliable, high-performance software frameworks for multiple robotic platforms.
• Develop motion planning, trajectory generation, kinematics, collision checking, reachability, and optimization algorithms.
• Build real-time control systems with trajectory correction, feature tracking, and visual servoing.
• Extend the autonomy stack with localization, mapping, navigation, and integrated manipulation for mobile robots.
• Mentor engineers, establish engineering practices, collaborate across technical teams, and shape the long-term robotics roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 8+ years of robotics software development experience with deep expertise in modern C++ and strong Python proficiency preferred.
• Experience architecting and deploying large-scale robotics software systems and interfacing directly with robotic hardware.
• Deep expertise in one or more of motion planning, manipulation, controls, autonomy, SLAM, localization, perception, or robot simulation.
• Strong knowledge of real-time robotics, systems programming, multithreading, concurrency, performance optimization, Linux, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Ability to influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and lead cross-functional initiatives without direct management responsibility.
