Chief Operating Officer

Location: Based at the Sydney headquarters, with domestic travel up to once per quarter and international travel 1–2 times annually

hirify.global develops AI robotics and navigation technologies for land, air, sea, and space applications, including inertial sensors, GNSS, underwater sonar, quantum sensors, and photonics.

What you will do

• Lead and align the IT, Security, Business Assurance, Quality Management, and Business Operations functions.
• Design lean, scalable processes, establish KPIs, and improve operational efficiency through enterprise software, infrastructure, and AI.
• Translate strategic priorities into execution, lead organizational change, operationalize OKRs, and improve global knowledge management.
• Oversee physical and cybersecurity, quality management systems, ISO compliance, business assurance, and operational risk mitigation.
• Build supply chain and operational infrastructure across APAC, US, and EMEA in partnership with supply chain leadership.
• Design compliant workflows, data-sharing protocols, and communication channels for collaboration with the US SSA entity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of senior operational leadership experience at VP or C-level in a high-growth deep-tech, hardware, robotics, or defense manufacturing company.
• Experience scaling an organization beyond 200 employees and building infrastructure across international regions.
• Experience leading organizational change and implementing goal-setting frameworks such as OKRs across global teams.
• Strong knowledge of US defense contracting requirements, ITAR, and SSA or similar FOCI mitigation agreements.
• Practical experience with high-tech manufacturing, yield optimization, capacity planning, and supply chain risk management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business Administration, with strong systems-thinking and leadership skills.

• MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering Management.
