What you will do
- Lead the day-to-day performance and workflow of a team managing impairment benefit claims.
- Support quality, timely decision-making and delivery against business and WorkSafe objectives.
- Manage complex claims matters, escalations and stakeholder issues.
- Coach, develop and performance-manage team members while building an accountable, high-performing environment.
- Interpret medical and legislative information and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and WorkSafe requirements.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and people management experience in workers compensation or claims management.
- Experience managing impairment benefit claims or complex workers compensation matters.
- Strong decision-making and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret medical and legislative information.
- Strong knowledge of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and associated regulations and guidelines.
- Understanding of current WorkSafe Victoria requirements, impairment benefit processes and claims management practices.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, stakeholder management, customer service and communication skills.
