Location: Mojave, California, United States. Workplace type: Onsite.
Salary: $110,000β$140,000 per year, plus possible Mojave differential pay.

What you will do
- Design, build, and commission propulsion test stands and associated ground support equipment.
- Support development, qualification, and acceptance testing of propulsion systems and integrated stages.
- Plan preventative maintenance and continuous improvement programs to maximize facility reliability and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, fluid, electrical, software, and instrumentation issues during propulsion test operations.
- Support root-cause investigations, hazard analyses, design reviews, and operational readiness reviews.
- Maintain P&IDs, operating procedures, maintenance records, and engineering drawings.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience designing, operating, maintaining, or commissioning complex mechanical or fluid systems.
- Experience with ground support equipment, industrial process systems, propulsion facilities, or similar infrastructure.
- Strong fundamentals in thermal fluid systems and structures.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
- Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an applicable U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR regulations.
Nice to have
- 3+ years of engineering experience.
- Familiarity with cryogenic systems involving methane and liquid oxygen.
- Knowledge of pressure transducers, thermocouples, flow meters, load cells, valves, and data acquisition systems.
- Experience troubleshooting multidisciplinary mechanical, electrical, software, and fluid systems.
