Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States

Salary: $119,543–$152,749 per year, plus potential stock options and/or long-term cash awards.

hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing systems, reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses.

What you will do

  • Own ground fluid systems across architecture, P&IDs, mechanical design, fabrication, testing, and operations.
  • Support satellite bus ground support equipment, thruster development test stands, and component acceptance hardware.
  • Lead propellant loading campaigns across multiple facilities while maintaining safety and mission readiness.
  • Define and improve propellant handling processes, technical standards, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
  • Drive the ground fluids roadmap, identify capability gaps, and support team growth.
  • Mentor engineers, review technical work, coordinate cross-functional activities, and resolve complex fluid-system issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on propulsion fluid-system design, build, and test experience for spacecraft or launch vehicles.
  • Working knowledge of pressurized components, tubing, fittings, seals, valves, and instrumentation.
  • Experience authoring and executing ground-test or flight-campaign procedures and reading or creating P&IDs.
  • Experience with fluid-system manufacturing, installation methods, CAD tools, and PLM software.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

  • Three or more years of propulsion fluid-systems experience on spacecraft or launch vehicles.
  • Experience with hypergolic, cryogenic, or other spacecraft-grade propellants.
  • Test or launch-site operations experience, including range-safety coordination.
  • Experience leading a technical team or developing engineering standards and design guidelines.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
