Senior Mechanical Engineer (Data Centre MEP)

Location: Singapore; travel expected for 10–30% of the time, primarily during project delivery phases.

What you will do

• Develop mechanical engineering designs and documentation from concept through commissioning.
• Perform engineering calculations and select equipment capacities and efficiencies for procurement and construction.
• Review consultant designs, contractor workshop drawings, and equipment selections.
• Support the qualification, onboarding, and management of third-party consultants and contractors.
• Conduct site inspections and participate in commissioning to verify installation quality and optimize equipment performance.
• Develop technical standards, support R&D and design optimization, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in data centre MEP.
• Strong knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and international design standards such as ASHRAE.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional, multicultural teams and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and contribute proactively to technical and organizational goals.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the Asia-Pacific region and local data centre standards and norms.
